Terms of Service

Last updated: April 29, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Synposter API and related services (the "Service") operated by Synposter ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. About the Service

Synposter is a developer API that lets you publish content to third-party social media platforms (X / Twitter, LinkedIn, and others as we add them) on behalf of end users who have authorized your application. We handle OAuth token management, cross-platform request normalization, and audit logging so you don't have to integrate with each platform individually.

2. Eligibility and account

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account, including all actions taken with your API keys. You must keep your API keys secret and rotate them immediately if you suspect compromise.

You are responsible for the conduct of every end user whose social account you connect through Synposter. We treat your developer account as the contracting party for everything published through it.

3. Acceptable use

You may not use the Service to:

  • Publish content that is illegal, infringes intellectual property, defames, harasses, or constitutes spam.
  • Post on behalf of users who have not actively granted you permission to do so.
  • Circumvent the post quotas, rate limits, or other technical measures of the Service or of any underlying platform.
  • Reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt to derive the source code of the Service.
  • Resell raw API access (i.e. operate Synposter as a thin proxy under a different brand). Building a product on top of the API is fine.
  • Use the Service to test, probe, or attack our infrastructure or third-party platforms.

Violations may result in suspension or termination of your account at our discretion, including without notice in egregious cases.

4. Third-party platforms

Synposter publishes to platforms operated by third parties (each a "Platform"). Each Platform has its own terms of service that apply to content you publish through Synposter. You and your end users are responsible for complying with each Platform's terms in addition to these Terms. We are not responsible for actions any Platform takes against accounts connected through Synposter, including suspensions, content removals, or rate-limit changes.

Platforms may change their APIs, pricing, or eligibility rules at any time. We will use commercially reasonable efforts to maintain compatibility, but we do not guarantee that any specific Platform will remain supported.

5. End-user content

You retain all rights to the content you and your end users publish through the Service. By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to transmit, store, and process that content solely for the purpose of operating the Service — including fetching, transcoding, and uploading media to Platforms on your behalf.

You represent and warrant that you have the necessary rights and consents from your end users for everything you publish through Synposter, including for any media files you upload or reference.

6. Pricing and billing

Pricing for paid plans is published on synposter.com/pricing. The Free plan provides a one-time lifetime trial; paid plans bill monthly through Stripe and reset post quotas at the start of each billing cycle.

All fees are non-refundable except where required by law. We may change pricing on at least 30 days' notice; continued use after the change takes effect is acceptance of the new pricing.

Failed payments may result in suspension of paid features until payment is current. We will not retroactively bill for posts published during a suspension.

7. Quotas and rate limits

The Service enforces hard post quotas per plan; once your quota is reached, further requests return 429 post_limit_reached until the next billing cycle (paid plans) or indefinitely (Free). Failed posts do not count toward your quota. Each Platform also enforces its own per-user rate limits which are independent of your Synposter quota.

8. Service availability

We aim for high availability but do not provide a formal SLA except on the Scale plan. The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may schedule maintenance, deploy changes, or experience outages, and we are not liable for losses arising from unavailability except as expressly stated.

9. Data and security

Your privacy and data handling are described separately in our Privacy Policy. OAuth access and refresh tokens for connected accounts are encrypted at rest. We do not sell your data or your end users' data.

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the dashboard; we will revoke OAuth tokens at the Platforms on a best-effort basis and delete your data within 30 days. We may suspend or terminate your account for material violations of these Terms, including without notice if we reasonably believe your use of the Service is harming others or our infrastructure.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY POST WILL BE ACCEPTED BY ANY PLATFORM.

12. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO LIABILITY, OR (B) USD $100. IN NO EVENT WILL WE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS OR LOST DATA.

13. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from (i) your or your end users' content, (ii) your violation of these Terms, or (iii) your violation of any Platform's terms or applicable law.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced by email and through the dashboard at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of Singapore.
